(1) Nightmare (Try to avoid playing him until you have at least 5 swamps as his attack and defense depends on what you control) Use your judgement and always leave a blocker) (1) Massacre Worm (use the -2/-2 effect on all opponent creatures to your best advantage here and attack what you can. (1) Grave Titan (provides zombie token block fodder) Use it to whittle down your other two enemies or any of Ajani's attack creatures if you have the chance) (1) Dread ('Whenever a creature deals damage to you destroy it' This is your taunt card. (1) Corrupt (good to play when you have a lot of swamps and are short on life) (2) Veilborn Ghoul (Avoid playing these two until you have Ajani in a position where he won't attack you and chance losing his lifelink) (1) Rise from the Grave (if you manage to kill off one of Ajani's health boosting creatures, turn around and play this spell to make it your own) Just don't let him be destroyed if your trying to mine block fodder) (1) Nested Ghoul (if any source deals damage to this guy you get a 2/2 zombie token. (1) Tendrils of Corruption (What I love about the Black decks is the easy way to kill off troublesome creatures and to boost your own life. (1) Phyrexian Obliterator (Having this creature on the field helps to dissuade attacks from your opponents since damage to him from a source means they have to discard that many permanents) (1) Nekrataal (most useful again for any Life raising creature Ajani may have on the field) (2) Liliana's Shade (great for that one game where your swamps seem to be evading your hand) (1) Diabolic Tutor (great for finding Phage The Untouchable) (2) Bloodhunter Bat (pick an enemy with lower life to steal +2HP from to give you an edge and get rid of them faster.) (1) Befoul (extremely useful for when Ajani pulls out lifelink creatures and "Ajani's pridesmate") ![]() (2) Warpath Ghoul (good attack fodder when you have Ajani alone and combined with several other creatures) (3) Murder (goes without saying as one of the most useful instants) (2) Liliana's Specter (Occasionally an opponent discards a card that would have otherwise hurt you badly) (1) Last Kiss (Again you want as much life as possible, sacrifice your enemy before yourself) (1) Dread Warlock (useful because you will not see any of your opponents draw a black creature) (2) Sign In Blood (try to avoid sacrificing your own life because you want to have as much as possible to whittle down Ajani) You would benefit from having some extra cards unlock to swell the number of cards in your library but I got this done with 2 cards unlocked.įor this I used a fully unlocked "Obedient Dead" deck consisting of: Blue and White were defeated by depleting their library.Īll these cards are available with the standard deck. If I got the opportunity to safely damage an opponent I picked on green and with the other two players finished him off by depleting his health. Later, when the opponents had some powerful creatures appearing I was able to use cards to clone them, return them to their owners hand or take control of them to buy some time. Generally I ignored the Planes card unless it was determental to my strategy and just focused on stripping the opposition of cards ![]() With enough HM and FoM they would start each round by dumping 7 cards, drawing 5 or 6 to have 12 or 13 in their hand, casting a few and then having to discard some to get them back to the 7 card limit. Once I had Dreamborn Muse in play they were dumping 10-12 cards per turn. The player has to put the X number of cards from their library to the graveyard during their upkeep where X is the number of cards in their hands. My key card was Dreamborn Muse (creature card) which becomes especially potent once you have some Howling mines(HM) and Font of Mythos(FoM) in play. This is great at the beginning and helps get Jace's Phantasm buffed.Ĭephalid Broker will have an opponent using up cards with its special ability Mind sculpt has the opponent drop 7 cards into graveyard. Jace's Erasure has opponent player put top card into library when you draw a card Howling Mine and Font of Mythos has players draw more cards at the start of each turn. You can quickly get some good defense up by using Jace's Phantasm which gives it +4/+4 when there are ten or more cards in an opponents graveyard To do this I built up my creatures and held them as a deterent to attacks but generally did not attack myself. With the right cards you will be dealing with all three at once. ![]() ![]() My goal was not to damage the opponents but have them run out of cards. There are a number of ways to complete this achievement but I had relatively quick success using the Blue Deck "Dream Puppets" on the first Planechase duel on Planeswalker difficulty.
